What are some of the health benefits of Forest Therapy?

  1. Reduces stress
  2. Lowers cortisol level
  3. Regulates blood pressure
  4. Relaxes the body
  5. Phytonicides (released from trees) react in our bodies to produce special white blood cells called natural killer or NK-cells. These cells roam the body looking for stressed cells that could turn cancerous and distroys them!!
  6. Boosts immune system

How did Forest Therapy begin?

Shinrin-Yoku (Forest Bathing) started in Japan in the 80's. Hi-tech meant people were inside, a huge spike in cancer and autoimmune diseases arose.  Why?  The Japanese began to study . One of the studies asked "What would happen if we put people back into nature?" The results were ASTONISHING!!!  Shinrin-yoku was born!
